Dear ACE Families,
Another festive week comes to a close! Many of you joined us Tuesday evening for the first-grade program. They did a wonderful job. My personal favorite was Elfie Selfie! Our building is buzzing with excitement as students eagerly try to figure out who the Grinch is. We even had our student resource officer on the case! Hopefully, we’ll be able to track him down next week.
We have one more week to display lost and found items. After that, all items (except winter jackets) will be donated. A huge thank you to everyone who donated to our food drive. We collected over 3,500 items, which will go a long way in filling shelves at Gretna Neighbors.
Important Message from Our School Nurse
Annual School Health Screens for grades 1–4 will take place on Tuesday, January 6th. The State of Nebraska requires students to have their Vision, Hearing, Height, Weight, and Dental screened.
Parents/guardians may waive height and weight measurements by submitting a written objection to Nurse Lisa.
To waive Hearing, Vision, and/or Dental screening, parents/guardians must submit a written statement from a qualified examiner confirming their child received the minimum required screenings within the past six months.
If you have any questions, please call Nurse Lisa at (402) 332-5617 or email lhorst@gpsne.org.
